BRUK feat. Marie L
I am normally really wary of ethereal-female-vocals and a trancy-er, more anthemic electro house sound pairings.
These guys are a great example of how you do it right - go real spare on the vocals, and warp them in and out of the song (treating it more as an instrument than anything else)
A vaguely foreign accent does wonders. Nobody wants to hear Americans!
The ultimate goal of these vocals is to provide this crystalline pure moment that cuts through your dancing brain and wakes you up, then immediately throws you back into the tumble dryer again.
Ignore the words, of course, they're fucking awful by cultural mandate. It's all 'flying high' and 'fantasy' and 'forever' and other insipid shmaltzy bullshit rave lingo.
Man, that second song is actually really good.
